Meghan Trainor Opens Up About Her Panic Disorder

Meghan Trainor has opened up about her struggles with panic attacks and revealed what helped her deal with them.

Speaking to People magazine, Trainor revealed that she had her first panic attack on live TV in 2016, whilst filming for CBS This Morning.

“I was announcing the nominees, and I was vibrating. I felt like I was going to pass out on live television. I was like, ‘What’s happening? I must be dying,’” she said.

“As soon as they said ‘Cut,’ I went offstage and was [gasping for air] in front of everyone,” she added.

After multiple visits to the hospital for various physical symptoms Meghan said that she was diagnosed with panic disorder.

“I’m not ashamed to say I’m on antidepressants. That medicine saved me, saved my life, saved my career. I’m back better than ever.”

Although, Trainor struggles with panic attacks she has continued to work on a number of projects and has also recently signed a deal with NBCUniversal to star in and develop a new sitcom.
