HBO has been under fire since they announced a documentary focussing around Michael Jackson’s highly criticised life.

Michael’s estate is now suing HBO for the controversial documentary for more than $100 million.

The estates’ legal team are adamant, “Michael Jackson is innocent,”. — furthering, “damages proximately caused by HBO’s reprehensible disparagement of Michael Jackson, which could exceed $100 million should HBO succeed in the damage it is intending to cause the legacy of Michael Jackson.”

According to the estate, a non-disparagement agreement with Michael was signed by HBO in 1992 when they aired Michael Jackson Live in Concert in Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour.

Allegedly, it said, “HBO shall not make any disparaging remarks concerning Performer or any of his representatives, agents, or business practices or do any act that may harm or disparage or cause to lower in esteem the reputation or public image of Performer.”
