Michelle Yeoh Joins Cast Of ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’

Star Trek: Discovery star Michelle Yeoh has been cast in Netflix’s The Witcher: Blood Origin.
The new series will act as a prequel to The Witcher, starring Henry Cavill.
Both shows are adaptations of the Polish fantasy novels written by Andrzej Sapkowski.
Yeoh will play Scían, the very last of her nomadic tribe of sword-elves.

The Witcher: Blood Origin is set 1,200 before the original show and follows the creation of the very first witcher.
Laurence O’Fuarain is already cast in the new series and will play Fjall, a warrior sworn to protect the king.
A release date for the new show has yet to be announced.
