Miley Cyrus Hits Back At Critics Of Her Low Singing Voice

Miley Cyrus has hit back against critics of her low singing voice, who claimed that she sounds like a man.
Cyrus spoke to Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich for Interview Magazine last week, after recently performing a cover of the band’s song Nothing Else Matters.
“This song means something to me on the deepest level. I even went down to some of those octaves, because singing those super-low lead vocals is so satisfying,” Cyrus recalled about her performance of the song.
The 28-year-old singer explained that she felt ‘free’ performing the band’s hit track because all her life she has had people tell her she sounds like a ‘man’.
“My whole life, whether in vocal training or just continuing to hone my craft, it’s always been about, ‘Why do you sound like a man? Where’s your f**king falsetto, b**ch? Why can’t you sing the high octave of Party in the USA anymore?’”
