Minnie Driver has joined the cast of ‘Rosaline‘, described as 20th Century’s “re-imagining” of Romeo & Juliet.
According to Deadline, Driver will star opposite Kaitlyn Dever, Kyle Allen, Isabela Merced, Sean Teale and Bradley Whitford.
The new film is based on Rebecca Serle’s book, When You Were Mine. The story takes a modern-day approach to the classic Shakespeare play and follows the perspective of Juliet’s cousin, Rosaline.
The film was acquired by 20th Century recently and will be directed by Karen Maine. Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen will produce.
The 51-year-old actress is famous for featuring in films such as Good Will Hunting and was recently cast in Searchlight’s, Chevalier.
