Misha Green To Write Script For DC’s ‘Black Canary’

Lovecraft Country creator, Misha Green, will pen the script for DC and Warner Bros new project ‘Black Canary‘.

According to Cinelinx, sources have confirmed the new project is currently in development, with Jurnee Smollett set to reprise the titular character, Black Canary.

Smollett previously took on the role opposite Margot Robbie in Birds of Prey.

While Black Canary is assumed to be a feature film, the possibility that it will be a television series has not been ruled out.

Batgirl and Blue Beetle are two other DC superhero films which were recently announced and are scheduled for release on HBO Max.

Whether Black Canary will also receive a direct release to the platform is yet to be decided.
