Nancy Pelosi Re-Elected As Speaker Of The House
Nancy Pelosi has been re-elected as the Speaker of the House.
The 80-year-old Democrats politician has been re-elected by her peers to lead the House and won 216 votes versus 209 votes that were for Republican leader Kevin McCarthy.
In a statement following the vote, Pelosi said, “It gives (me) great pride to serve as speaker of the most diverse House of Representatives in the history of our country,”
