An image from Jurassic World: Dominion reveals a brand new dinosaur in the upcoming film.

Helmed by Colin Trevorrow, the new picture is scheduled for release on June 10, 2022.

Once again starring in the third instalment of the trilogy are Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, joined by returning Jurassic Park castmates Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill and Laura Dern.

Now, in an image unveiled by Empire, fans have been treated to a first look at one of the dinosaurs from Jurassic World: Dominion.

Seemingly chasing Pratt’s character (Owen Grady) on a motorbike, the raptor-like reptile seems like a formidable new addition to the Jurassic Universe.

Discussing the preview image with Empire, Trevorrow introduced the dinosaur as an Atrociraptor – a stockier relative of the now-familiar Velociraptor.

“It’s a sequence set in Malta,” explained Trevorrow. “And the picture speaks for itself – it’s Chris Pratt being chased by an Atrociraptor. And if they catch up, he’s gonna die, I can tell you that.”

“Where the Velociraptor is a little bit more of a stealth hunter, the Atrociraptors are a bit more brutish. These things will just come at you. And in this particular case, they’ve picked his scent, and they’re not going to stop until he’s dead. They’re pretty brutal. They’re vicious.”

Also among the new prehistoric line-up listed by Trevorrow is the so-called Pyroraptor and the Moros intrepidus.
