NFL’s Aldon Smith Arrested For Felony DUI Causing Injury
The NFL’s Aldon Smith was reportedly arrested on Monday evening (November 6) for a felony charge of DUI causing injury.
According to TMZ, the 32-year-old defensive end was detained in Northern California. His bail bond has been set at $50,000 and he remains in custody.
Details on the events leading up to Smith’s arrest are sparse, however, this is not his first arrest.
In April of this year, he was also arrested for second-degree battery. He was also previously arrested for violations of court orders and domestic violence.
Smith entered the NFL in 2011 after signing with the San Francisco 49ers. He went on to join the Oakland Raiders but was released in 2018 due to his legal troubles.
In 2020, he was picked up by the Dallas Cowboys but was not re-signed the following season and went on to sign with the Seattle Seahawks in 2021. He was released in August.
