Nicki Minaj And Husband Sued By Attempted Rape Victim

Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are being sued by a woman he was convicted of attempting to rape in 1994.
According to The Guardian, the woman alleges that she has faced harassment from the couple to withdraw the allegations.
Court filings from the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York, claim the victim was offered $500,000 from Minaj to recant her story. They also allege that the 38-year-old rapper contacted the victim’s family and lied to her social media followers about the crime.
The lawsuit said that Minaj had offered to have a publicist draft a statement to recant her allegations, to which the victim responded: “I need you to know woman to woman, that this happened.”
The damages being sought are unspecified, though the woman states that she has been unable to work since May 2020. She says this is directly the result of “depression, paranoia, constant moving, harassment and threats” caused by Minaj and Petty.
The woman, now 43, was attacked by Petty at knife-point when she was just 16. Petty was convicted of attempted rape and served four and a half years in prison.
In 2020 Petty was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.
