Nicki Minaj Explains Why She Rejected Doja Cat

Nicki Minaj has explained the reason why she rejected an offer to feature on one of Doja Cat’s latest tracks Get Into It (Yuh).

In a conversation on Twitter Spaces, the Super Bass hitmaker said that she didn’t feel like she “could bring anything” to the song and claimed she wasn’t in direct contact with Doja.

“It’s just that there were, like, middle people involved in that situation … If it was like how me and BIA were direct and we dealt with each other directly, it would be different,” she said.

Nicki, also noted that she wasn’t a fan of the song and had asked Doja’s team if they could send her another track for her consideration, but she never heard back from them.

“I didn’t love that song because I didn’t think I could bring anything to it. So I asked them to send me something else,” she said.
