Nicolas Cage Says He Won’t Watch Film Where He Plays Himself

Nicolas Cage has said that he won’t be watching the fictional film he stars in where he plays a version of himself.
The film titled ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ is due for release in April 2022. Cage plays an onscreen version of himself in the film and agrees to make a paid appearance at a billionaire super fan’s birthday party.
However, Cage is then told by a CIA operative that the billionaire super fan is actually a Mexican drug kingpin. The CIA then recruit Cage to become an informant for them.
Speaking about the film to Variety, Cage said: “I will never see this movie. I’m told it’s a good movie. I’m told people love it and are enjoying the ride, but I made that for the audience.”
“It’s too much for me to go to the premiere and sit there with everybody. Psychologically, that’s too bizarre and whacked out for me,” he added.
Cage also recently stared in the film ‘Pig’ which released on July 16, 2021. In the film he plays the role of a truffle hunter who lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness and must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped.
