Olivia Rodrigo Claims The Highest Selling Song And Album Of 2021
Olivia Rodrigo’s album ‘Sour‘ has claimed the position as the UK’s top selling album of 2021.
According to the Official Charts, Rodrigo’s album has secured over 170,000 chart sales. Dua Lipa’s album ‘Future Nostaligia‘ is in a secure second place behind Sour, with over 143,000 chart sales in 2021 so far.
The Charts added that Rodrigo’s album had already achieved the biggest opening week of the year, with over 51,000 chart sales. Meanwhile her song ‘Good 4 U‘ has also made an impression, topping the UK singles charts for a sixth consecutive week. The track has also maintained the top spot on Billboard Global 200 for fifth week, with over 85.6 million streams and 15,000 sales.
