Olivia Rodrigo Responds To Criticism

Olivia Rodrigo has responded to criticism received for the songwriting credit she had to give to different artists. 

The 18-year-old singer has given an interview for Teen Vogue magazine where she explained how originality in music has come an end, stating:

”Nothing in music is ever new. There’s four chords in every song. That’s the fun part — trying to make that your own.”

Olivia goes on to say that she felt the criticism received felt a little unfair as she felt misunderstood but she also learnt how to not listen to the negative comments, adding:

“I hope people know that deep down, all that I do is write songs and talk about how I feel, and that’s the most important thing to me. Everything else, I think, is not so important.”
