Oscar De La Hoya And Vitor Belfort Match Now Sanctioned
Confirming the news was the founder of Triller Fight Club who told ESPN that Oscar De La Hoya will now return to the ring in a sanctioned fight.
California State Athletic Commission, executive director Andy Foster approved the change. Both fighters will have to pass comprehensive medical testing ahead of the fight.
Due to the change the outcome of the fight will now be reflected on the fighters official professional record.
Vitor Belfort will be making his second boxing appearance against Hoya. Belfort a former UFC champion also ties third for most finishes in the UFC history.
Speaking about the fight was Oscar saying that if he was coming back it would be for real and “none of this exhibition stuff,” said Hoya.
