R. Kelly Arrested On Federal Child Porn & Sex Trafficking Charges

R. Kelly was arrested on Thursday for multiple federal sex crimes. 

He was walking his dog in Chicago when he was arrested on charges contained in a 13-count indictment returned in the Northern District of Illinois.

The charges include child porn, enticement of a minor and obstruction of justice, and during his arrest, Homeland Security and Chicago Police took the lead in cuffing the R&B singer.

R. Kelly and others are said to have engaged in a scheme to coerce minors to participate in sexually explicit acts on camera, according to the indictment out of the Eastern District of New York. The documents read, “Kelly and his crew travelled throughout the United States and abroad to recruit these woman and girls,”

A further statement within the legal documentation states the women and girls involved “were not permitted to leave their room without receiving permission from Kelly, including to eat or go to the bathroom.” and were allegedly made to call him “Daddy.”

It’s also believed that R. Kelly made “threats of force and physically restrained the women” when he wanted their services. He allegedly took a minor to California and committed abduction, carnal abuse of a child, seduction and rape.
