Regé-Jean Page To Star In Paramount’s ‘The Saint’

Bridgerton actor Regé-Jean Page will star in Paramount’s new film, The Saint.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Page will play the lead role of Simon Templar.

The Saint is based on the book series written by Leslie Charteris.

The books were famously adapted for a British television series, also titled The Saint, which saw Roger Moore play the role of Templar. Val Kilmer also took on the role in Paramount‘s original film adaptation in 1997.

This is not the first time Page has worked with Paramount, as the 31-year-old actor features in the studio’s upcoming Dungeons & Dragons feature.

He appears alongside Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez. The film is scheduled for release in 2023.

Page shot to fame following his role in Netflix’s acclaimed Bridgerton series, where he played the Duke of Hastings, Simon Bassett.

While no director is confirmed, Lorenzo di Bonatventura and Brad Krevoy will produce the film.

Robert Evans, who passed away in 2019, will receive a posthumous credit for his work.
