Ryan Murphy Announces American Story Spin Offs
Ryan Murphy has announced that he is crafting two American Story spin offs: American Sports Story and American Love Story.
The producer has achieved great success with American Horror Story, which returns to screens on August 25.
It has been confirmed that Murphy will produce and create two more spin-off American Story anthology series.
American Sports Story’s first season will focus on the life and death of former NFL star Aaron Hernandez. He was convicted for the murder of Odin Lloyd in 2015 and took his own life while in prison in 2017.
American Love Story retells the tragic love story of the iconic 90’s couple John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.
The series will tackle the marriage of Carolyn and John before their deaths.

The pair got married after two years of dating, but both died in a plane crash in 1999.
“What started out as a beautiful union for the young couple, widely regarded as American royalty, began to fray under the stress of the relentless microscope and navel gaze of tabloid media,” a press statement for the show says.
“The pressures of their careers and rumored family discord ended with their tragic deaths when his private plane crashed into the ocean on a hazy summer night off the coast of Massachusetts.”
