Serena Williams Expresses Excitement Over Return Of Naomi Osaka
Serena Williams says the return of Naomi Osaka will be “amazing”.
The tennis champion’s comments came as Osaka plans her big return to the court.
The 24-year-old last competed at the U.S. Open in September before deciding to take a break from the sport. Earlier in the year, her decision not to address the press at the French Open caused controversy, leading to a fine and ultimately leading to her withdrawal from the tournament.
Speaking to TMZ, Osaka’s American counterpart expressed excitement at the prospect of her return: “Oh my goodness,” she said. “It’s gonna be amazing.”
Speculation over Osaka’s tennis return heated up after she posted a series of photos in practice, including one of a tennis ball bearing the logo of the Australian Open.
