Simon Cowell Says He Went “Too Far” With Facial Fillers

Simon Cowell confesses that he went “too far” with facial fillers and has since stopped using them altogether.
In an interview with The Sun, Cowell said that the turning point in his usage of the cosmetic treatment had been his 8-year-old son’s reaction to his face.
“There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far,” he confided. “I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all.”
“Eric (his son) was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”
Stating that his usage of cosmetic injections followed the Hollywood fad at the time, the music mogul now says he has adopted a more organic method of maintaining his ageless looks: Water.
“There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other. But actually, for me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tonnes of water.”
Discussing the possible return of The X Factor, Cowell said that he’d like to reform the show with more focus around mentorship, adding that the old format became “too crazy”.
“The one thing I promised myself going forward is that I want to be more of a mentor,” he said. “The only good thing of getting older is you have a lot of experience and it’s not always about the things you did well – it’s also about the things you didn’t.”
