Sir Elton John Announces New Album Featuring Huge Artists
Sir Elton John has announced the release of a new collaborations album titled The Lockdown Sessions.
The 74-year-old singer announced the new album on September 1, which will include 16-tracks with features from the likes of Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X and Miley Cyrus.
In a statement released, John revealed that all of the songs on the album where recorded over the past 18 months.
“The last thing I expected to do during lockdown was make an album. But, as the pandemic went on, one-off projects kept cropping up,” he said.
“Some of the recording sessions had to be done remotely, via Zoom, which I’d obviously never done before,” he added.
