Spanish TikToker Naim Darrechi Incites Backlash Over Condom Remarks
Naim Darrechi has faced angry backlash after claiming he tells women he is sterile in order to have sex without using condoms.
Darrechi is arguably the most successful social media influencer in Spain, with over 26 million followers on TikTok.
His remarks surfaced in an interview with Spanish YouTuber, Mostopapi. He claimed to find sex “difficult with a condom” and so never uses them.
Darrechi went on: “It’s weird that I haven’t got any of them pregnant, so I’m always going to start ending up inside, without any problem. And nothing’s ever happened. I’m starting to think I have a problem.”
Asked by Mostopapi what his sexual partners thought of his attitude, Darrechi confessed to lying to women that he’d had surgery in order to continue without a condom. “Don’t worry, I have had surgery to avoid having children. And when my son comes to me, bless him, but I think he will not come.”

The 19-year-old’s comments have been met with anger across social media, with the Spanish Equality Minister, Irene Montero, calling for an investigation into Darrechi.
Taking to Twitter, Montero shared her outrage.
“Taking off the condom or ejaculating inside [a woman] without consent is today sexual abuse and the Law #SoloSíesSí will recognize it as aggression.” Wrote Montero. “Bragging to 26 million followers of something like this reflects the urgency of putting consent at the center. We will inform the Prosecutor’s Office.”

Darrechi has since issued an apology on his Instagram Story, adding that sometimes he ‘exaggerates’ and his comments were “crazy”.
This is not the first time Darrechi’s words have caused controversy. In May he again caused outcry after voicing his opposition to abortion, comparing it to murder.
