Stephen Amell Releases Statement Following Flight Incident

Stephen Amell has released a statement following his removal from a flight in Texas after getting into an alleged altercation with his wife. 

TMZ reported that Stephen Amell had been forcibly removed from the flight after “screaming at his wife” in a plane full of passengers.

Sources have said that the actor appeared intoxicated, and that his wife, Cassandra Jean,was clearly embarrassed. A flight attendant asked him to lower his voice, but he refused.

It was also reported that an air marshal and three other attendants escorted him off the plane. Jean and companions remained on the flight and travelled back to L.A without her husband.

Whether or not he was detained or arrested by authorities in Texas is unknown.

Amell has now released a statement regarding the incident and claims he was not forcibly escorted from the aircraft.
“My wife and I got into an argument Monday afternoon on a Delta flight from Austin to LA. I was asked to lower my voice and I did,” he says, “approximately 10 minutes later I was asked to leave the flight. And I did so immediately. I was not forcibly removed.” 
“I rebooked myself of a Southwest flight 2 hours later and travelled home without any further issue. I let my emotions get the better of me, end of story. Must be a slow news cycle.”
