Terry Crews Slammed Over Black Lives Matter Comments

Terry Crews has come under fire after comments made on Twitter caused outrage.
The 51-year-old Brooklyn Nine-Nine star went on social media to give his verdict on the Black Lives Matter movement that has taken the globe by storm.
He posted, “If you are a child of God, you are my brother and sister. I have family of every race, creed and ideology. We must ensure #blacklivesmatter doesn’t morph into #blacklivesbetter.”

In response, many took offence to his slant on the campaign that has been set out by organisers to raise awareness of ongoing suppression and racism that is very current today. Bernice King wrote, “We’re so far from that bridge, Terry. #BlackLivesMatter is, in part, a rallying cry and a protest slogan to galvanise people into doing the justice work needed to derail the deaths, dehumanisation and destruction of Black lives that racism causes.”

Crews said, “You are right, @BerniceKing. I just want to make sure it stays that way. No competition, just creativity.”
