The Flash‘ actor Logan Williams died following an overdose of fentanyl, the official coroner’s report confirms.

Williams was best known for his portrayal of the teenage superhero Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash. He played the part for the first two seasons of CW’s The Flash‘.

The 16-year-old actor tragically died after leaving a residential care home. When he returned staff noted that he appeared under the influence. Despite checking on him regularly, he was discovered unresponsive in bed on April 2.

According to the New York Post, Canada’s BC Coroners service reported that Williams‘ death was a direct result of “unintentional illicit drug toxicity (fentanyl)”.

“Toxicological analysis detected fentanyl in a range where lethal outcomes have been reported.” Continued the report. “Even small amounts of fentanyl have been shown to be potentially toxic.”

Earlier this week it was reported that three individuals, including comedians Fuquan Johnson and Enrico Colangeli, had died in LA following a similar overdose of fentanyl.

Rest in Peace, Logan Williams.
