‘The White Lotus’ Secures Second Season On HBO

HBO’s ‘The White Lotus‘ has been renewed for a second season.
The series is written and directed by Mike White.
Season one follows a number of vacationers at an exclusive Hawaiian resort called the White Lotus. The story develops over the course of a week, revealing a darker side to the picture-perfect guests and cheerful employees.
Variety reports that the second season leaves Hawaii and “follows a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants.”
The White Lotus season one features Murray Bartlett, Natasha Rothwell, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, Brittany O’Grady and Sydney Sweeney. A new cast will allegedly feature in the next season.
“Mike has once again delivered a quintessential HBO show, and it’s the talk of the town.” Said HBO executive, Francesca Orsi. “We were thrilled to hear where he wanted to go next, after closing this epic chapter in Hawaii, and can’t wait to keep following him wherever he takes us.”
The final episode of the current season airs on Sunday.
