Tim Federle To Direct ‘Sister Act 3’

Tim Federle has been announced as the director of ‘Sister Act 3‘ for Disney.

Deadline reports that Madhuri Shekar will pen the script for the new film, with Whoopi Goldberg returning to reprise the role of Deloris. Goldberg will also produce the feature alongside Tyler Perry and Tom Leonardis.

‘Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit‘ premiered in 1993 and continued to follow Deloris Van Cartier a.k.a. Sister Mary Clarence, as she taught Catholic students to sing. How the third installment will continue from this narrative is unknown.

Tim Federle has previously collaborated with Disney on the creation of ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series‘. He has also co-written the script for the animated 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studio production, ‘Ferdinand‘.
