Tom Hanks’ Son Posts Anti-Vax Rant Despite Parents Battling Covid

Tom Hanks’ son Chet is facing backlash after posting an anti-vax rant despite both his parents having contracted the virus.
The actor has told fans to “get over” COVID-19 and to just “stay inside” if they’re not feeling well.
“I’ve been kind of on the fence about this for a while,” he says in an Instagram video.
“That’s why I never spoke on it, but with the amount of people I know recently who have gotten Covid and with the numbers rising, I think it’s important for me to say I got the vaccine.”
“I think everyone should. I think it’s really important that we all do this just as citizens, as Americans, we have to look after each other and get this under control, guys.”
His video soon takes a turn and he begins to shout at the camera.

“Psych, b***h! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” he shouted. “I’ve never had Covid. They ain’t sticking me with that m*****f***ing needle. It’s the m*****f***ing flu. Get over it.”
His parents, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, contracted the virus in March.
The pair shared regular updates about their condition with fans.
Tom said that his wife had a much “tougher time” than he had with the virus.
As well as a high fever and losing her sense of taste and small, Rita “was so nauseous she had to crawl on the floor from the bed to the facilities.” Hanks said that this “lasted a while.”
