‘Top Gun: Maverick’ And ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ Delayed Again

Tom Cruise’s next two highly anticipated movies ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ are being delayed again.

Paramount have announced that ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ will now release in cinemas on May 27, 2022 instead of November 19, 2021, as COVID-19 cases in the US continue to surge.

They also announced that ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ will release on September 30 2022, four months after it’s original slated release on May 27, 2022.

Paramount cited concerns over the rising cases of the delta variant of the coronavirus as the main reason for the delay.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount are also concerned about the lack of recent cinema attendance and are hoping the box office will recover in 2022.

This is the sixth time, Maverick has been delayed after being originally scheduled for released on July 12, 2019.
