Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Undergoes Surgery Ahead Of New Season

Auston Matthews who scored 41 goals in 52 appearances during the previous NHL season, has undergone surgery on his wrist following experiencing discomfort.
After suffering with the discomfort, Matthews consulted with specialists and the teams medical staff, leading to the decision to have the surgery.
Auston will now require a minimum six weeks to recover from the surgery, with Toronto Maple Leafs set to begin the new season on October 13th.
