Tory Lanez Handcuffed In Court For Violating Protective Order

Tory Lanez was handcuffed in court on Tuesday for violating a protective order in his felony assault case with Megan Thee Stallion. 

The 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was taken into custody during a hearing addressing the felony assault charges after a judge found he had violated a protective order put in place last year.

Judge David Herriford ruled that there was sufficient evidence that Lanez had violated the order of protection which prevented him from contacting or mentioning Stallion.

The rapper allegedly attempted to reach out to Stallion in a series of tweets posted in February.

“Good d*** had me f***ing 2 best friends … and I got caught … that’s what I apologized for … it’s sick how u Spun it tho,” Lanez wrote in one tweet on Twitter.

According to Stallion’s attorney Alex Spiro, Lanez has since been released on bail.

Lanez is facing charges of assault for allegedly shooting Stallion in the foot during an altercation outside a house party in LA in July 2022. You can read more about this here.
