Uma Thurman Cast In New Showtime Series

Uma Thurman is set to play Arianna Huffington in the new Showtime series, Super Pumped.
According to Variety, the new show documents the rise of Uber. Based on a book by Mike Isaac’s, the story follows CEO Travis Kalanick through the highs and lows of the Silicon Valley transportation company.
Thurman plays Ariana Huffington – an Uber board member, as well as the co-founder of The Huffington Post. Already cast in the series are Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kyle Chandler, Elisabeth Shue, Kerry Bishe, Jon Bass, Bridget Gao Hollitt and Babak Tafti.
The series is reportedly planned as an anthology, co-written by Beth Schacter, Brian Koppelman, and David Levien.
Thurman is best known for her starring roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. Her past television roles include Smash, The Slap, Imposters, and Chambers.
Currently, she is working on Apple TV’s new thriller series Suspicion, and the romantic teen feature, Hollywood Stargirl.
