Universal Confirms ‘Trolls 3’ In Development

Universal has announced that Trolls 3 is currently in development.

According to Variety, the latest untitled instalment is scheduled for release on November 17, 2023.

The last addition to the animated franchise – Trolls World Tour – made its debut in 2020. It suffered a somewhat stunted cinematic release due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was simultaneously made available on streaming services.

Following the commercial success of the on-demand release, Universal plans to shorten the exclusive theatrical window for its upcoming films in favour of a quicker debut on streaming platforms.

Though very little is known about the plot for Trolls 3, it can be assumed that the stars of the previous films – Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, and James Corden – could be set to return.
