Vanessa Hudgens Says She Can Communicate With Ghosts

Vanessa Hudgens believes she can communicate with spirits.

During an appearance on the Kelly Clarkson Show, the 33-year-old said that she had “accepted the fact that I see things and I hear things” that others can’t.

“I remember getting ready for school when I was 8-years-old and there was… You know those duck things that you pull? It’s a toy?” she said. “There was one of those on the dining room table and I started walking and it just started going alongside me and I was like, ‘….Interesting.’”

“I kind of shut it down for a while because it’s scary,” she added. “The unknown is scary. But I recently was like, ‘No this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do so I’m going to lean into it’.”

The former High School Musical star went on to say that she had recently conducted her first “paranormal investigation” with real equipment.

Revealing her favourite device was a spirit box, which “scans radio frequencies really quickly” and “allows spirits to speak through it”, Hudgens said she had used it in a graveyard with her best friend.

“I was sitting at a tombstone in a graveyard with my best friend […] and we found this one tombstone of a spirit that we were told is very playful,” she said. “So I turned it on and I’m like, ‘Hi Sam I’m Vanessa, this is Gigi.’”

“And then Gigi goes, ‘Sam can you tell us our names? What are our names?’ And then we just here [static] ‘Vanessa‘.” She continued, “I was like, ‘Cool, do you have anything else that you wanted to tell me?’ And I just hear [static], ‘Nope.’”

In 2011, Hudgens also told People about an encounter with a spirit during filming for Journey 2 in North Wilmington, North Carolina.

Describing the place as “one of the oldest, most haunted places in North America”, Hudgens said she was “chasing around my ghost for 10 minutes solid, and then it got way too freaky, and I just left.”
