Will Smith Film Projects Paused By Sony, Netflix Amid Oscars Assault

Will Smith is facing a career pause after reports that his projects are getting put on hold.

The 53-year-old Bad Boys actor has resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and now his upcoming projects with Netflix and Sony may be in jeopardy.

Smith assaulted comedian Chris Rock during the Oscars, approaching the Grown Ups actor as he guest hosted on stage and slapped him in the face as millions of viewers and celebrity guests at the Academy watched in shock.

As a result Will has faced backlash from fans, co-stars and now production companies as The Hollywood Reporter has alleged that pending films including Fast and Loose and Bad Boys 4 are being halted.

Apple also have a film in the works with the A-lister, Emancipation, leaving those excited about the release anxiously anticipating an official announcement from Apple TV+ as to whether this will also be paused in light of the situation.
