Young Thug To Make Acting Debut in New Film ‘Throw It Back’

Young Thug will make his acting debut in new film produced by Tiffany Haddish and Paul Heig titled ‘Throw It Back’.

Deadline reports that the rapper will join the cast of the film which currently consists of Haddish who takes a supporting role and actress Shahadi Wright Joseph.

The film will follow high school senior Wytrell (Joseph) who competes for a spot in the high schools dance team after a Miami rapper (Young Thug) decides to feature the dance team in his new music video.

‘Throw It Back’ is written by Rochée Jeffrey and directed by Shadae Lamar Smith who is well known for his work on will.i.am’s music videos.

Young Thug will also take on a role as executive producer and will oversee the film’s soundtrack. His music label Young Stoner will also be releasing the soundtrack.

Earlier this month, Young Thug partnered up with Doja Cat on the track ‘Pay Day’ which released on her album ‘Planet Her’.
