Alex Trebek Says ‘See You Again Next Week’ In Final Episode Before Death

Alex Trebek was given a very humble send off in his final episode of Jeopardy! on Friday.

The longtime show host sadly died after losing his battle with cancer just 10 days after filming his final — with his intention being to continue filming the following episodes.

In his final message before walking off the camera-set, Trebek said, “Thank you ladies and gentlemen for spending the time with us. We’ll see you again next week,” with the producers of the show then giving a short but heartfelt tribute to the host in the form of a montage followed by a message that read, “Dedicated to Alex Trebek. Forever in our hearts. Always our inspiration.”

Ken Jennings will start off the guest hosting sequences that is happening to continue the shows legacy in honour of Alex, following by four other guests as the show continues, including Katie Couric who was announced earlier this week as a follow on guest.
