Amber Heard has gone to Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. in a battle against revenge porn.

The actress has made her voice heard and believes her campaign supporting the SHIELD Act is working.

The SHIELD Act is a bill that would make sharing nude pictures or videos of a person without their consent a crime — punishable to prison for up to 5 years.

In 2014, Amber herself faced public humiliation and potentially career-damaging affects when hackers leaked topless pictures of her. Amongst those images, other celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Vanessa Hudgens, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Upton and Demi Lovato also had their private lives scattered online.

Amber hopes to make revenge porn a federal crime as soon as possible as currently there isn’t a law protecting the rights of those victims.
