Andy Murray “Lost Respect” For Opponent Following Accusations

In the first round of the US Open, Andy Murray took on third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in a game that lasted nearly five hours.
During the game, Tsitsipas received medical treatment on his left foot after he lost the third set, along with taking a lengthy bathroom break after winning the fourth set.
Speaking to the media after the game, Murray said that he believes the two breaks “influenced the outcome of the match.”
He also said that if he had “no idea” if his opponent was cheating during the game, following accusations from one of Tsitsipas previous opponents.
Although he doesn’t know if that was happening during the breaks, Murray called him a brilliant player. However he also added that he has now “lost respect for him.”
