Angelina Jolie Breaks Fastest One Million Followers Instagram Record

Angelina Jolie has become the fastest Instagram user to reach one million followers beating out previous owners of the record NCTs Taeli and David Attenborough.

The Hollywood actress joined the social media platform on August 20 to share a photograph of a letter from a teenage girl in Afghanistan.

According to the Evening Standard, Jolie gained 2.1 million followers in just three hours breaking the record for the fastest account to reach 1 million followers.

At the time of writing, Jolie has now amassed 9.6 million followers on the social media platform.

Jolie stated that she joined Instagram to help the people of Afghanistan share their stories and voices as they fight for their basic human rights amid a Taliban takeover of the country.
