Antonio Brown has admitted that removing his shirt during his mid-game walk-off last Sunday was unnecessary.

The wide receiver crossed the end zone and headed for the locker rooms mid-way through the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s game against the New York Jets.

The 33-year-old was seen bidding the crowd goodbye as he stripped off his shirt and shoulder pads.

Following his exit from the game, it was revealed by the Buccaneers head coach, Bruce Arians, that Brown had been removed from the team.

In a statement, Brown said that he had left the field after Arians tried to call him into the game despite an ongoing ankle injury.

Now, in remarks made to TMZ Sports, Brown admitted that removing his shirt during his walk-off was inappropriate, saying: “It probably wasn’t necessary or professional.”

Brown was pictured on Monday evening as he headed to have dinner with Kanye West in West Hollywood.
