Apple’s ‘The Beanie Bubble’ To Star Zach Galifianakis And Elizabeth Banks
Zach Galifianakis, Elizabeth Banks, Sarah Snook and Geraldine Viswanathan are set to star in Apple’s upcoming film, The Beanie Bubble.
According to Deadline, Kristin Gore and Damian Kulash will helm the project, which will focus on the 90s Beanie Baby craze and their inflated resale prices. With a focus on the female contribution to the business, the film aims to “pull back the curtain on the absurdities and injustices of the American Dream”.
Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Karen Lunder will produce the picture under Imagine Entertainment.
Galifianakis is best known for his portrayal of Alan in The Hangover trilogy and his comedy talk show Between Two Ferns. He has also starred in Due Date, The Campaign and provided the voice of the Joker in The Lego Batman Movie.
Banks, who rose to prominence following her portrayal of Betty Brant in Spider-Man. She is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Effie Trinket in Hunger Games and has gone on to feature in titles such as Pitch Perfect, Magic Mike XXL, Power Rangers, and Brightburn.
Snook stars as Shiv Roy in HBO’s hit series, Succession. Among her other titles are The Dressmaker, Steve Jobs, and Pieces of a Woman.
