Ari Lennox Accuses Amsterdam Airport Staff Of Racism

R&B singer Ari Lennox has accused Dutch airport security of “racially profiling” her after she was arrested for disturbing public order.

Lennox was arrested by Dutch Military Police at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport on Tuesday after she reportedly refused to calm down in an argument with staff at the airport.

Before her arrest, Lennox tweeted about the incident claiming that Amsterdam security “hate black people.”

“F*ck Amsterdam security. They hate black people,” she said. “I just want to go home. I’ll never leave my house again,” the singer tweeted shortly after.

In a statement to the press, Dutch police said: “Our unit found a woman full of emotions, that wouldn’t calm down. That’s why she had to be taken into custody.”

During her arrest, Lennox also made a tweet accusing staff at the airport of racially profiling her.

“They’re arresting me. I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me,” she said.

Lennox, whose ream name is Courtney Shanade Salter, is best known for her 2019 single of the same name.

She is currently signed to J Cole’s record label Dreamville Records.
