Ashley Tisdale Opens Up About Managing Alopecia: “It’s Nothing To Be Ashamed Of”

Ashley Tisdale, known for her role in Disney‘s High School Musical, recently opened up about her struggles with alopecia, an autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss, on her Instagram.
Tisdale, now 37, shared that while alopecia and hair loss are common, many people feel embarrassed to talk about it, which is why she wants to speak openly about it to show that it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Tisdale added that her alopecia is connected to stress overload.
The actress also shared details about how she manages her condition on her lifestyle website, Frenshe. Ashley said that she has found platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment particularly helpful. She explained that it is expensive and not the most pleasant experience, but it made her hair grow back amazingly fast. To reduce stress and promote hair growth, she also uses the Hairmax Laserband and turns to yoga, meditation and a mindful diet. Tisdale also said that eating with a focus on gut health and following the autoimmune paleo diet for 30 days at a time has been beneficial for her.
Tisdale‘s openness about her struggle with alopecia is a reminder that hair loss can affect anyone, and it’s important to talk about it openly to break the stigma and shame associated with it. The actress’ story also emphasises the importance of self-care and stress management in managing autoimmune disorders.
