Baker Mayfield’s Trade Request Turned Down By Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have denied Baker Mayfield’s request for a trade.
Last week, the quarterback penned a letter to fans that read as a goodbye following intense interest in signing Deshaun Watson.
In the week leading up to Watson’s official trade to the Browns, Mayfield put in a trade request to the NFL side.
“It’s in the mutual interest of both sides for us to move on,” Mayfield told ESPN. “The relationship is too far fine to mend. It’s in the best interests of both sides to move on.”
But the Browns had other ideas, and have subsequently denied Mayfield’s wishes to play elsewhere.

According to ESPN reporter Jake Trotter, his source was told that the Browns informed Mayfield’s camp they are “not accommodating his request.”
Albeit reluctantly, Mayfield looks set to stay at the Browns – for now, at least.
