Becca Kufrin Has Frozen Her Eggs After Splitting With Fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen

Becca Kufrin has announced that she is freezing her eggs since splitting from Garrett Yrigoyen.

The 30-year-old former The Bachelorette star shared the news on her Instagram Story, explaining that she is “in the process” of freezing her eggs.

Kufrin and Yrigoyen got engaged in the finale of season 14 of The Bachelorette in 2018 but decided to separate after 31-year-old Garrett supported the Blue Lives Matter movement rather than sharing support for Black Live Matter.

She explained why it’s important to freeze eggs as a woman, saying, “I think it’s so important as women we know about our bodies and our options. I’m not old, but I’m not a spring chicken. I want kids one day but not anytime soon. I figured, why not do it now in quarantine.”

The reality star also shared a photo of herself having the first hormone shot, writing, “Shot 1 down, 1 more to go tonight. And then 9 more days of this. The backs of my kneecaps have never been so sweaty.”
