BLACKPINK To Release New Movie In August For Fifth Anniversary

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK have announced that they will release a movie later this year in celebration of their fifth anniversary.

The new film titled ‘BLACKPINK: The Movie’ will be released in over 100 countries and will feature various segments.

The segments will include never before seen interviews and moments from their five-year-career. As well as five performances from the groups past concerts ‘The Show’ and ‘In Your Area’.

‘BLACKPINK: The Movie’ will be the girl groups second movie to date, following their 2020 documentary film ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky’ which released on Netflix.

BLACKPINK recently announced the ‘4+1 Project’ which is meant to mark group’s fifth year in the the industry. The movie is the first announcement to be a part of the project.

In March, group member Rosé made her solo debut releasing her single album titled ‘R‘. The album sold half a million copies in April and received a platinum certification in May.

The film will premier sometime in August with no exact release date given at this moment.
