Bruce Springsteen has said in a new interview that he hopes to resume touring next year once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

Despite continuing with his show ‘Springsteen On Broadway’ at the St, James Theatre in New York, Springsteen previously stated that he would not be touring at any point in 2021.

In a new interview with Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2, Springsteen now said he hopes to resume touring in 2022.

“We’ll be touring next year if everything goes well. The E Street Band will be back on the road. You know, depending, of course, on the virus and what’s opening up.” He said.

Springsteen last performed with The E Street Band back in December during an appearance on Saturday Night Live. Prior to the SNL appearance the band’s last live performance was in 2017.

Last week, Springsteen’s daughter Jessica announced on her Instagram that she had earned a place in the US Olympic equestrian team. She will now be heading to the Tokyo to compete in the 2020 Olympic Games for Team USA.
