Casey Traill Becomes First UK Player To Be Drafted By NWHL Team
Drafted by the Buffalo Beauts following graduating from Castleton University, Casey Traill makes history as first ever UK player drafted to the National Women’s Hockey League.
Speaking about her recent accomplishment, Traill said the following – “Having the opportunity to be drafted to any team in the NWHL is an absolute honour,” Sky Sports reports. Traill that she couldn’t be more proud to “represent British hockey on such a big platform.”
After attending Castleton for four years, in which she played in the NCAA has also been apart of the Great Britain Women’s team with eighteen senior caps. Traill was drafted as the 25th pick in the fifth round.
