The Bachelor winner Cassie Randolph reveals how she learnt Colton Underwood had come out as gay.

The 26-year-old won season 23 of The Bachelor after she was chosen by Underwood.

Though the pair proceeded to date from 2018 to 2020, they ultimately endured a messy separation, with Randolph filing for a restraining order after accusing Underwood of stalking her.

In April 2021, Colton came out as gay during an appearance on Good Morning America. He is now engaged to political strategist Jordan C. Brown.

Now in a relationship with musician Brighton Reinhardt, Randolph admitted during a conversation on the Off the Vine podcast that she learnt of Colton’s sexuality along with everyone else.

“I found out the same way that everyone else did,” she said. “I was actually in Mexico on vacation with friends… But yeah, I found out, I think, through Snapchat on GMA. It was horrible. It was just like, a shocking kind of feeling.”

She added that she still didn’t feel ready to discuss her relationship with Underwood: “I’m just not there yet. I’m sure I will one day want to speak on it because there’s just a lot there.”

Randolph recently featured in the season 26 finale of The Bachelor, where she opened up more about her experience on the show with Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Drawing parallels between herself and Susie Evans who, like her, had rejected the Bachelor (Clayton Echard) in the season finale, Randolph said that she hoped Evans did not feel “pressure” to rekindle her romance with Echard.

“When she initially came on the show, she wanted to find something. I just hope she sticks with her intuition,” she said.
